You give us a date, a time and a place. We compute the point that was directly overhead at that moment,
the zenith, and match the real, catalogued galaxy nearest to it that is still unassigned. The artwork is a
telescope photograph of that galaxy, finished for print, with the place, the date and up to
sixty characters of your words beneath it, in a black wood box frame behind acrylic glazing.

Is the galaxy really photographed?
Yes. Each artwork is made from a telescope photograph of that galaxy, from the DESI Legacy Imaging Surveys or Pan-STARRS1, finished for print. Its shape, orientation and scale are the telescope's own.
