A gift about the two of you
Most Valentine's gifts say I thought of you this week. This one says I remember. It starts from a moment that belongs to both of you: the night you met, the first kiss, the day you married.
You give us a date, a time and a place. We compute the point that was directly overhead at that moment, the zenith, and match the real, catalogued galaxy nearest to it that is still unassigned. The artwork is a telescope photograph of that galaxy, finished for print, with the place, the date and up to sixty characters of your words beneath it, in a black wood box frame behind acrylic glazing.
It is the opposite of a generic gift. Nobody else can be given the same galaxy, and the date beneath it is yours alone.

Which moment to choose

- The night you met. The most chosen moment, and the one that makes people stop at the wall.
- Your first date or first kiss. If you remember the restaurant and roughly the hour, that is enough.
- Your wedding. The time of the vows, or the first dance.
- The day you moved in together. A quieter moment, often the most meaningful.
Add a line beneath it: two names, a date, a phrase from your first conversation.
