What makes it a luxury gift
Luxury is usually about material: gold, leather, cashmere. It can also be about rarity. A Galaxy Origins print is made for one moment and one couple. We compute the point in the sky that was directly overhead at your wedding, or the night you met, and find the real catalogued galaxy nearest to it that is still unassigned. That galaxy is assigned once. No other couple will be given it.
The artwork is a telescope photograph of that galaxy, resolved and graded for print, with your place, your date and your words beneath it, in a black box frame behind acrylic glazing.
For him, for her, for both of you
- For her: the moment you married, with a line from your vows beneath it.
- For him: the night you met, with the coordinates of the place, printed as they are.
- For both of you: a large piece for the room you share, 24 × 30 in or 32 × 40 in.
It suits the milestone years especially. For a tenth, a twenty-fifth or a fiftieth, the galaxy is the one that was above you on the day it all started.
