Their first moment, framed
Everyone has a birthday; nobody else has their minute. The galaxy overhead at the time and place they were born is different from anyone else's, and once assigned it is not given again.
You give us a date, a time and a place. We compute the point that was directly overhead at that moment, the zenith, and match the real, catalogued galaxy nearest to it that is still unassigned. The artwork is a telescope photograph of that galaxy, finished for print, with the place, the date and up to sixty characters of your words beneath it, in a black wood box frame behind acrylic glazing.

For milestone birthdays

For a 30th, 40th, 50th or 60th birthday the artwork marks the beginning of everything since. Its light usually set out tens or hundreds of millions of years ago, which puts a round birthday in perspective.
If you don't know the birth time
Ask a parent, check the birth certificate, or choose noon. A different hour can give a different galaxy, and every hour gives a real one.
