A gift she won't put in a drawer
Mothers keep things. The first drawing, the hospital bracelet, the card you wrote at seven. This is made to be kept on the wall instead: the galaxy that was overhead at the minute you were born, the moment her life changed.
You give us a date, a time and a place. We compute the point that was directly overhead at that moment, the zenith, and match the real, catalogued galaxy nearest to it that is still unassigned. The artwork is a telescope photograph of that galaxy, finished for print, with the place, the date and up to sixty characters of your words beneath it, in a black wood box frame behind acrylic glazing.

Moments to choose

- The day you were born. Her birthday as a mother, and the most personal choice.
- The birth of a grandchild. For a grandmother, a moment the whole family shares.
- Her wedding day. If you want the gift to be about her own story.
Siblings often choose one artwork together, with all their names beneath it. Or one each: the Family Collection is four matching framed prints, one for every person in the family.
When to order
Mother's Day in the United States is the second Sunday of May. Every artwork is printed to order; ordering by mid-April leaves comfortable time for delivery.
